Whirlwind: *shaking and staring at a burning house* ................ I-I can do this........... There fireponies will be here soon............. But there might be somepony in there that needs help now...................... *shakes head* I-I have to. Any Wonderbolt would.

*runs but stops in front of door*

Whirlwind: No...................

Mare: Help! Somepony help!

Whirlwind: ....................... *shuts eyes and runs in the door*

Amber: *yawns* I don't understand why we had to take the early train. You know I barely get enough sleep as it is. And the sun isn't even up

Hot Head: Tch, don't blame me, you didn't have to come. I'm just here early because I'd like to eat before I go do my super important royal guard biz.

Lucky: You mean stand there and make sure the princesses are able to talk in peace?

Hot Head: Uh nooooooo. I mean stand there and make sure no evil doers and creatures and stuff come and try to destroy everypony. Well, While I'm doing that, you two can visit the orphanage maybe. I bet Mrs. Green Bow would like to see you

Amber: Nah, we'll wait. I'm sure Mrs. Green would want to see you as well

Hot Head: Alright. Well, what're you guys gonna do in the meantime?

Amber: Hmmmm... visit Annie maybe. Then– 

Lucky: Woah, is that a fire?

Hot Head: I– Let's get over there!

Amber: Woooooah Hot Head calm down. I'm sure the fire department is on it. The last thing we want to do is interfere

Hot Head: Sure but............. *stares off somewhere*

Lucky: Hot Head?

Hot Head: Whirlwind? *runs over to Whirlwind* 

Whirlwind: H-help. It hurts

Hot Head: No. Nononono. AMBER! Amber help!

Amber: What's wrong?

Hot Head: H-her wing! It's gone!

Amber: Let me look...... Whirlwind? Can you hear me? What happened? Were you in that fire?

Whirlwind: *nods*

Amber: Can you move?

Whirlwind: *shakes head*

Amber: Okay, just try your best to relax, sweetheart. Lucky, I'm gonna need you to–

Hot Head: Amber! Do something!!! You gotta help her!

Amber: Hot Head, calm down. Listen to me, panicking is not going to help, understand? Lucky, go find and ambulance. We'll be right here.

Lucky: *nods and runs off*

Hot Head: I'm not panicking! I'm telling you to do something! You're a nurse for Celestia's sake!

Amber: *sits by Whirlwind* I'm a neonatal nurse, Hot Head. Now listen to me–

Hot Head: But you always helped me with my injuries and–

Amber: Because that's basic stuff, this is serious. And I'm not trained to treat this sort of thing.

Hot Head: But–

Amber: Would you rather me try to help her and make things worse, or just wait for a minute while Lucky gets a doctor that will know exactly what to do?

Hot Head: ....

Amber: Look, I'll stay right here with her and if anything goes wrong, I will do everything in my power to make sure she's okay. Now, do you know her parents or any relatives?

Hot Head: N-no

Amber: Anypony who would know?

Hot Head: I..... yeah

Amber: Go get them please

Hot Head: 'Kay *flies off*

Prism: *opens door* Oh, hey. Why in Equestria are you at my house so early?

Hot Head: There was a fire and Whirlwind got caught in it. She's really hurt and–

Prism: Fire? She's terrified of fire! Where is she??? *spreads wings*

Hot Head: Close to the fire. *points to where the smoke is* Amber's with her a-and doctors are on their way to help her 

Prism: *takes off towards fire*

Hot Head: Wait! Where are her– Gah *follows Prism**

Amber: Whirlwind? Still with me?

Whirlwind: Y-yeah

Amber: Does your wing still hurt?

Whirlwind: Yeah but....... I-I can't feel it anymore. I don't know what's happening

Amber: *winces* Must've got to the nerves

Whirlwind: Am I gonna be okay?

Amber: Mmhm. Can you tell me what happened exactly?

Whirlwind: T-there was a fire. And nopony was there yet. And I heard somepony in the house. So I-I went in. I found the mare who was stuck in there and I got her out too but.... a piece of burning wood got stuck in my wing. I just flew away to try and get it out. I did but not fast enough as you can see. I was trying to fly over to the hospital but I couldn't make it since my wing's pretty much gone. So, I crash landed over here.

Amber: Wow. Well, you did a very heroic thing.

Whirlwind: *smiles weakly* Do you think I'll be able to fly again soon? *moves wing and hisses in pain*

Amber: Woah, woah ,woah. Don't move it okay? Stay as still as possible......... I wouldn't count on flying right away. You're most likely going to have to go through rehab for quite some time

Whirlwind: *groans*

Lucky: Hey, I'm back. Ambulance is on their way. A lot of them are at the fire right now

Amber: Thank you, Lucky

Prism: Whirlwind! Whirlwind! Are you okay? *lands with Hot Head not far behind him*

Whirlwind: Prism? *tries to turn* Owowow

Amber: Don't move, Whirlwind

Prism: What happened??? Your wing!

Amber: Prism, I understand you're concerned but it's really important that you don't get her worked up. I swear nopony knows that you're supposed to remain calm during these situations.

Whirlwind: Priz...

Prism: You're gonna be alright *nuzzles her head* Amber, can't you do something?

Amber: I'm not that kind of nurse. But don't worry. See, the ambulance is coming right now. *gets up and waves them down*

Whirlwind: *attempts to get up*

Amber: Not yet, Whirlwind. They'll get you. Just relax. *goes over to one of the nurses*

Whirlwind: *sighs* 'Kay

Prism: I'll go with you.

Whirlwind: Really?

Prism: Of course. I'm not just gonna leave you.

Whirlwind: Thanks, Priz

Amber: Alright, I just filled them in on what happened. Can you handle everything from here Prism?

Prism: Yeah

Amber: Alright. Make sure to let her family know if you can.

Prism: Will do. Thanks you guys for letting me know about this.

Hot Head: ..... Hm? Oh yeah. No prob. Noooo prob.

Prism: Well, see ya later then.

Amber: Bye.

Hot Head: Yeah. I'm fine

Amber: Don't lie. Is this about Whirlwind?

Hot Head: Of course it is! Her wing was scorched off!

Lucky: Not that

Amber: I meant is this about "Whirlwind"

Hot Head: Ugh, no.

Lucky: *to Amber* He's in denial

Amber: Mmhm

Hot Head: Okay, yes! I was a little jealous. I wanted to be the one there for her. No big deal. Just because we're not together doesn't mean she's not a good friend still. She's in good hooves though so it's fine.

Amber: Awwwww lookit you. So grown up now. Good job Hot Head. I'm proud.

Hot Head: *chuckles* Yeah, yeah.

Prism: I can't believe you went into the fire like that. You're insane

Whirlwind: Yeah, I guess I am.

Prism: You did the right thing, though.

Whirlwind: I hope so. It cost me my wing.

Prism: ................

Whirlwind: .......... what if I'm never able to fly again?

Prism: I-I don't know. I'm sure you'll be able to get back to flying. Sure it may take some time but you'll be able to fly for sure.  

Whirlwind: But....... what if I never fly the same again? I'll lose my job, a-and–

Prism: Don't think like that. It's gonna be alright. For now, let's just focus on making sure you get better.

Whirlwind: *nods*

Prism: Good. So. Since you went in that burning house, does this mean that you're over your fear of fire?

Whirlwind: Not a chance. I think I'm more scared than I was before *chuckles*

Prism: I don't blame ya *chuckles*

Valiant's love life isn't very successful even though he's kind, charming and handsome. He's been out with quite a few mares making him seem like a player but he's just looking for the right one. 
He's jealous of Prism's relationship with Whirlwind and wonders why she and Prism broke up in the first place. He thinks they should get back together. 
Red June is his best, non-royal friend. Claire and Candy keep trying to convince him to go out with her but

"Whirlwind eventually became a Wonderbolt after many years. However, while doing a rescue she had to face her fear of fire and save a pony. Sadly, her wing was badly burned and it took a very long time for her to recover (or she doesn't recover at all. It's up to you)"
