Apollo: I told you not to call me that. My name is Apollo. And it’s just easier for me to watch you out here.

Anastasia: Aw, why don't we go someplace else and go play?

Apollo: What I say goes because my father and your mother left me in charge of you while they and Oasis teach your brother how to fly better.

Anastasia: *gasps* Does that mean later on mommy and you are gonna teach me how to use my magic?

Apollo: She’s not my mother

Anastasia: *mumbles* I didn’t say she was

Anastasia: But will you? I really wanna learn magic from you

Apollo: I don’t know. Why do you want to learn from me anyhow? Your mother is an all powerful alicorn.

Anastasia: But mommy says that you learned magic from one of the best unicorns around!

Anastasia: Anthea. Er, your mommy.

Anastasia: You don’t have to try and make me feel better

Apollo: Yes I do. What I said or how I made you feel was not okay. I just wanted to apologize.

Anastasia: I forgive you. But that doesn’t change the fact that you don’t like us. 

Apollo: I....... I know it may seem that way but I love you guys. I really do. M-maybe I would be happier if dad didn’t marry Nidra....... but that’s just because...... I see the him so happy with your mother. It reminds me of when my mom was still alive and well. And at the same time, seeing Nidra and dad so happy makes me wonder if he really loved my mother.

Anastasia: Just because they love each other doesn’t mean he never loved your mom.

Apollo: I... yeah. I just have a hard time grasping that. Plus, growing up, I saw Nidra getting closer to my dad. It just made me feel like........ she was waiting for my mom to leave so she could steal him

Anastasia: Mommy would never do that!

Apollo: Well...... I– I dunno.

Anastasia: Mommy loved Mrs. Anthea too, you know.......... She felt really guilty marrying daddy

Anastasia: Mommy says that I remind her of Mrs. Anthea.  She even started calling me Annie a lot by accident. I thought it was just a nickname but most of you guys call me Ana. She finally told me that it was because she called Mrs. Anthea, Annie

Anastasia: Mommy says that I’m really easy to talk to like Mrs. Annie was. She tells me about all the things they used to do together when they were younger........... and how she was really heartbroken when she died.

Apollo: ...................

Anastasia: I wish I could meet her. But if she was here, then I probably wouldn’t be here, huh? I think everyone would’ve been happier that way though *sniffles*

Apollo: *pulls Anastasia into a hug* Don’t say that!

Anastasia: !

Apollo: I’m so sorry you’ve felt this way...... you shouldn’t have ever felt this way. My mother made a lot of ponies happy during her time. That’s true. But......... she left. A-and that was going to happen to matter what. That made a lot of us sad but you’re here now. And you’ve made a lot of ponies happy too. Your mom and dad and Oasis and Perri and Grandpa Spike, and your Grandma Luna and Uncle Illusion and Aunty Claire and Identity and........ me.

Anastasia: Really?

Apollo: *nods*

Anastasia: *hugs Apollo back*

Apollo: You really are like her you know

Anastasia: Yeah?

Apollo: You’re really smart and pretty and know how to make ponies smile.

Anastasia: *smiles*

Apollo: You’re also real good at magic. Most ponies your age can’t teleport like you did back there. Not even some adult ponies

Anastasia: Really? Were you able to?

Apollo: I don’t mean to brag, but I totally could

Anastasia: *giggles* Cool! Hey, how’d you find me after I teleported anyways?

Apollo: Tracking spell. I could teach you if you’d like

Anastasia: O-okay!

Apollo: C’mon, let’s get back to the garden

T: Hey! We’re back!

Anastasia: Daddy! Mommy! *runs over to them and gives them a hug*

Nidra: Hi Anniiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhstasia. H-how was your day?

Anastasia: It was good. Apollo taught me some cool magic stuff

T: Oh yeah?

Anastasia: Mmhm

Peridot: Well Oasis taught me cool flying stuff! Wanna see?

Anastasia: Yeah!

Peridot and Anastasia: *run away to a different part of the garden* 

Oasis: O-oh, wait up you two! *follows the kids*

T: *chuckles* Heh, well, I’m gonna go check on the guards. See how the night went. Thank you for watching Ana, Apollo.

Apollo: No problem

T: *smiles* I’ll meet you in the castle, Ni *pecks her on the lips and flies away*

Nidra: ..................... Um, thank you...... Apollo. It means a lot that you watched Anastasia for the night. She sounded like she had a good time.

Apollo: It was my pleasure.

Nidra: *smiles weakly* I’ll see you later then

Apollo: Bye, mom

Nidra: *looks around* ........................ d-did you......

Apollo: Yeah. Yeah I did.
